A veteran mechanic has explained why a Ford and Mercedes-Benz are parked at his garage in a place where nobody can access them.

This auto technician, Sherwood Jr., notes that he had a customer who needed a new motor for his Ford pickup. The client decided to return the pickup to his finance company and run from inspection costs, which the lenders also don’t want to pay.

In his clip for Royalty Auto Service (@royaltyautoservice), Sherwood Jr. clarifies that his company has spent a solid amount of money inspecting this Ford to diagnose it.

The auto boss says he told the finance company that he’d return the vehicle if they covered the inspection fees since he’s the only one with money in it.

Sherwood Jr. tells viewers: “It’s a war of attrition, and I’ll tell you right now, I’m going to win because this thing will rot. I’ll move it up to the front of this building, and it will rot before it goes out of here.”

Next, Sherwood Jr. walks beside the Ford F-150 to reveal a soft-top Mercedes-Benz convertible, which he said the garage had put $7,000 worth of work into.

This mechanic didn’t specify the F-150’s outstanding cost but said it was less than the Mercedes-Benz.

He adds that the owners of this Mercedes-Benz were his clients for years until they said they didn’t have the money for their car’s $7,000 repair job and would retrieve it when they secured the funds.

Sherwood Jr. emphasizes that this car has been parked in their shop for 10 months, with additional storage fees now costing more than repairs.

This auto shop owner says he typically doesn’t charge storage fees, but he feels the need to due to the amount of space these vehicles take up.

Sherwood Jr. tells viewers that the last time he spoke with this Mercedes-Benz owner, he was told that the client was in the process of selling his airplane to cover the vehicle’s costs.

The mechanic jokes: “Maybe we need to do a deal with the airplane.”
